Financial Aid and Financial Assistance Information
Today’s students know that a good college education depends on more than just the classes and degrees being offered. While a high-quality education should always be your top priority when considering which school to attend, it’s also important to look at how your career training can be made affordable.
We’re committed to your success—educational, professional, and financial. If you’re ready to start learning more about how Northwestern College can help you invest in your dreams, we’re ready to show you.
A Comprehensive Approach to Financial Aid
Just as Northwestern College takes a comprehensive approach to providing an education, we also encourage our students to consider multiple paths to how they finance their investment in education. Our goal is to make your career training affordable, using a variety of options that fit your individual needs.
To this end, we participate in both the Federal Student Aid Programs and Illinois State MAP Program, along with other funding from various sources, including Veterans Programs, Federal Work Study and FSEOG. We also offer a wide variety of scholarships for our students. That way, you have many sources of funding available to make college affordable.
We want you to succeed and we want you to feel good about your education. For us, that means helping you devise the perfect plan for covering your college tuition and expenses in a way that feels right for your lifestyle.
Financial Assistance Tools
Every student journey at Northwestern College begins with a visit to the financial aid office. Together, we’ll go over:
- Scholarship Opportunities
- Veterans and Other Programs
- Federal Programs
- Illinois Programs
- Student Loan Programs
- Student Rights and Responsibilities
Application assistance is also available when you need it, especially for federal and state funding forms, as these tend to be complicated for first time-students.
Student Rights and Responsibilities
While financial aid is always a great benefit to those attending college, you may be required to repay all or part of your award. Every student – and his or her family – should have a firm understanding of the repayment terms or conditions, should you end up dropping out of school or transferring to another location.
We are always happy to go over these rights and responsibilities with you, and also provide a financial aid calculator to help you crunch the numbers and figure out the best path for you. Paying for college is a different experience and path for everyone, so getting personalized help is key.
