Gary Gruenewald

Gary Gruenewald is currently the Program Director of Radiologic Technology at Northwestern College. He has been employed in the college’s radiography program since its establishment in 2008, having held various positions, which include didactic instructor, clinical coordinator, associate professor, and professor.

Mr. Gruenewald graduated in 1985 from Ravenswood Hospital’s School of Radiologic Technology in Chicago, IL. He worked for five years as a special procedures/cardiovascular technologist before beginning his career in radiologic technology education. He earned his baccalaureate degree in Health Arts in 1990 and his master’s degree in Health Services Administration in 2004, both from the University of St. Francis, Joliet, IL. He is a registered radiologic technologist (ARRT) and is fully licensed to practice radiography in Illinois (IEMA).  Mr. Gruenewald has been described as a gifted, fair, patient and challenging radiography educator who is dedicated to his students and their success.
