About the Library
The Edward G. Schumacher Memorial Library, a not-for-profit organization, was established in 1991 as part of our mission to encourage, prepare, and empower our student body and support their educational goals. It offers a wide variety of resources for students, faculty, and staff in the form of books, videos, periodicals, reference materials, and Internet research. The library also subscribes to numerous databases for access to full-text articles and reports from magazines, newspapers, and scholarly journals on a host of topics.
Many specialized research databases are available, and the library provides access to over 8,000 eBooks and audiobooks.
Librarians on staff are available for library instruction and individual reference assistance. The Schumacher Library is a member of the Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS) and Online Computer Learning Center (OCLC). Interlibrary loan of books and articles is available through OCLC.
