How to Apply

At Northwestern College, we believe in the value of each student who walks through our doors, and we are committed to helping each of them become successful healthcare professionals. If you are interested in applying for our programs, follow these steps:

    • Connect with us: First, participate in a career information session with one of our Admissions Coordinators. They’ll help guide you through the application process.
    • Fill out your application: Next, complete an admissions application for your chosen program of study. There is a $25 application fee. If you’re accepted, this fee will be added to your first tuition bill.
    • Apply for financial aid: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov and meet with one of our Financial Aid Representatives. Use our School Code 012362 on your FASFA application.
    • Send in your supplemental documents: Submit proof of graduation from a state-recognized high school or GED certificate program, your enrollment paperwork, and a signed Enrollment Agreement. Your official proof of graduation must be received by the end of your first quarter to register for future terms.
    • Send in your transcript(s): If you’ve attended other college or higher learning institutions, we’ll need official, signed copies of your transcript, sent via email to [email protected] or mailed to:

    • Take the entrance exam: Complete any required entrance or placement examinations for your program of study. Please note that this requirement may be waived if you hold an associate degree or higher.

    Once Northwestern College has received and reviewed all your required application documents, we will notify you about your admissions status.

    Information for Transfer Students

    Northwestern College welcomes transfer students. We typically accept transfer credits for courses that meet the following conditions:

    • Completed within the past 10 years with a final grade of C or higher
    • Comparable to courses at Northwestern College
    • Fulfills a graduation requirement for the student’s program of study

    Transfer applicants must provide transcripts from their former school(s). Official, signed transcript copies should be sent via email to [email protected] or mailed to:

    Prospective students should contact the admissions department with any questions regarding the transferability of their past coursework.

    Information for International Students

    Northwestern College welcomes applicants from other countries. Prospective students residing outside the U.S. should apply at least 120 days before the first day of the term in which they would like to begin their studies. This ensures ample time to complete the student visa process. International students transferring from another U.S. school should apply at least 60 days before the first day of the term.
