How to Apply

At Northwestern College, we believe in the value of each student who walks through our doors, and we are committed to helping each of them become successful healthcare professionals. If you are interested in applying for our programs, follow these steps:

  • Fill out your application: First, complete an Admissions Application for your chosen program of study.
  • Connect with us: Schedule and complete an interview with an NC admissions representative. They’ll help guide you through the application process.
  • Apply for financial aid: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov and meet with one of our Financial Aid Representatives. Use our School Code 012362 on your FASFA application.
  • Send in your supplemental documents: Submit proof of graduation from a state-recognized high school or GED certificate program, your enrollment paperwork, and a signed Enrollment Agreement. Your official proof of graduation must be received by the end of your first quarter to register for future terms.
  • Send in your transcript(s): If you’ve attended other colleges or higher learning institutions, we’ll need official, signed copies of your transcript sent via email to [email protected] or mailed to:

  • Take the entrance exam: Complete any required entrance or placement examinations for your program of study. Please note that this requirement may be waived if you hold an associate degree or higher.

Once Northwestern College has received and reviewed all your required application documents, we will notify you about your admissions status.

Information for Transfer Students

Northwestern College welcomes transfer students. We typically accept transfer credits for courses that meet the following conditions:

  • Completed within the past 10 years with a final grade of C or higher
  • Comparable to courses at Northwestern College
  • Fulfills a graduation requirement for the student’s program of study

Transfer applicants must provide transcripts from their former school(s). Official signed transcript copies should be sent via email to [email protected] or mailed to:
